The Answer Large Gear Bag has the cavernous ability to contain two full sets of gear. It is designed around the airport luggage motif. It has urethane wheels and a retractable handle so you won't have to throw your back out getting your stuff to the track or trail. It also has heavily gusseted grab handles for durability.

One thing I really like about this bag is that its storage compartments are well designed. The main compartments are not chopped up into sections that are too small (like some bags I've seen). It also has three large side pockets for accessories. The overall size is 15"W x 34"L x 18"H.

I don't really care about the graphics of a gear bag, but the Answer Large Gear Bag has an embroidered logo and what Answer calls "bold new graphics". How many times have we heard that phrase in the dirt bike world? OK, so I could care less about the styling. What I do like is the solid design of this big gear bag.

I would recommend custom gear to fit to every swing and sway of your body, but finding such a thing might be harder than paying for it. Enter Answer Racing's Evaporator long sleeve shirt. This shirt will be snug to the skin, protecting your from chafing and letting your armor fit over it with ease.

Spun Translink fabric is designed to wick sweat away from your skin, cooling you all the while. Antibacterial treatments also reduce the funk that builds up after working the dirt all day. Two layers work together to pull sweat off of your skin and then quickly evaporate it away. The whole process gets rid of moisture twice as fast as cotton. The cooling action stops when you stop sweating, and even helps keep you warm on those nippy mornings.

I'm a picky person. Even when I like something I can find fault with it, but Answer's Evaporator does what it's designed to do and does it for about $35.

Riding track and trail is dirty and demanding on your feet. A two-stage plastic buckle system wraps protective panels across the shins like the tawny tendons they protect. Fazer boot straps are positioned around the foot, ankle, and shin to create a tight, yet adjustable, fit for riders of varied construct.

Polyurethane plastic, leather, and lots of padding make these boots strong and safe. Some riders say Answer went overboard and made the boot too dense, reducing the rider's feel for shifting. Another quirk: The Fazer boot sizes seem to run large. I recommend checking Answer's size chart prior to purchase, as you'll likely be buying a size smaller than your usual fit.

Fazer boots provide excellent impact protection, but impact is not the only hazard to an off-road rider. Answer has fitted Fazer footwear with exterior calf heat shielding, so you will not be left with discolored oblong scars from your exhaust system.

Answer offers a decent boot with excellent coverage in their Fazer. If, however, you want a boot with a softer toe to provide more feel for shifting, you will want to look elsewhere. The plastic buckles could be more robust, but these boots are a bargain. If you're on a budget, or just cheap, these are a proper track and trail boot for around $100.

Wearing one of these can, to some degree, help keep you from having to eventually go to the next step, the much more expensive and bulky knee braces.

Answer's latest entry in a field of knee guards, the Alpha, promises to deliver the very protection you seek. As with other guards, this one has a "floating, self-centering" knee pad-in reality, it's polyethylene foam padding with perimeter fastenings that allow it to flex behind the plastic shield out front. Simple, yet effective. It also has three Velcro straps for quick donning and doffing and which keep it in place while riding--three straps being far superior to having only two, by the way.

While Answer hasn't broken any new ground here, the Alpha is a fairly attractive option, and the price is right in the range of most others in its class.
