Trying to give directions to someone who decided to take their bike across state to meet up with you is like playing a game of hide and seek. If the person happens to be from a smaller city and they tend to get lost in the bigger city, your job becomes increasingly difficult. They're used to landmarks and light traffic, but you try and throw out street names with normal congestion and they freeze up and pull over until you can meet them so they can follow you. Of course, if they had a way to mount that Garmin you gave them for Christmas last year, this could have ended with a lot less stress on your end. I'm sure you've all got a friend like mine, and this could easily be next year's gift.
The RAM Bike/Motorcycle Handlebar Mount is a simple solution to putting your portable GPS to use with your cruiser or sport bike. It mounts to handlebars from 1/2 inch up to 1 inch in diameter. It's sleek, not ugly, and is made to withstand high speeds. Built out of powder-coated marine grade aluminum, this thing could sit outside all season in a monsoon and not rust out on you. This mount might not automatically give your friend a great sense of direction, but it will put an easy-to-see tool right in front of them, losing any excuse to not be able to come to your place for a change.
