The following story is about a car, but trust me, I'm going somewhere with this:
My friend Mac is a nice guy. He'll help out anyone who asks, so naturally everyone is always asking. Most commonly, they're asking him for rides. Sick of this, he decided to rip the passenger seat out of his tiny little car. He still gets folks willing to ride on the floor, but not many.
If you're ready to rip that passenger seat off of your bike, Honda has a solo seat ready for you. For around $300, depending on where you buy it, you'll get the classic Honda solo seat and a rear fender panel to cover over the pillion points.
The chrome rear fender panel looks great on any fender regardless of paint or condition. A few simple cut-out sections give it a slightly ribbed styling, breaking up any monotony of a solid piece of metal and easing your eyes from chrome to fender.
Textured and weather-resistant, the solo seat is made with the care of your OEM, and you can expect comparable stitching and wear. I use an OEM seat that's been around since 1983, and just now I'm finding the stitching in need of repair.
Riding with an unused passenger seat makes a bike look incomplete. A solo seat is a great way show that you need no one but your machine. It will also help reduce the weight of your bike by getting rid of your passenger seat and those pesky, parasitic passengers.
