Last week, I noticed something disconcerting. The seams on my riding jacket are beginning to fray. I'm sure I can stitch it back together, but I will not put my money on dime store thread when it does battle with pavement. It might be time to look for some more robust riding gear.
If you are looking for textile jackets, the Draft Air by Tour Master is one built for rugged wear. It would seem that Tour Master is trying to get away from the idea that textile jackets are just for inclement weather with this armor-link mesh and 600 denier Carbolex shell. Removable CE armor is strategically placed to protect your exposed joints and corners. The triple density back protector is articulated, so you'll still have the freedom to bend and twist away that road fatigue.
To ensure this jacket stays where it ought to be and doesn't ride up, Tour Master has included a jacket-to-pant zipper system. The back of the jacket also extends below the front so you'll be naturally covered when you lean in. Adjustable straps on the arms and waist will make sure this jacket fits your unique body.
Draft Air jackets are so named for the exceptional airflow provided by the shell material. This is not a cold weather jacket in its natural state, but it is equipped with connection points for an optional Aquatherm liner.
Like many of Tour Master's jackets, the Draft Air has 360 degree Phoslite reflective piping. So, even if you select the black rather than the blue, red, or silver, you'll still be visible. The Draft Air is a tough answer to the call for stronger, more leather-like textile jackets.
