If you've ever gotten a flat on the road before, you know that it's more frustrating than ALWAYS losing an argument with your better half. I've had three flats so far in six years of riding, and each time, I wished I had brought a hand pump just to give it enough air to make it off the freeway or someplace I could leave my bike until I could get it patched. But, like most everyone else on the planet, carrying a backpack with a bicycle pump sticking out the top everywhere you go doesn't really sound like something I want to do.
The Stop & Go Mini Air Compressor is a handy little gadget that could make a good alternative. First of all, this thing only weighs 14 oz. and is 4" x 2" x 6" big (I think a BK Whopper is bigger than that). Just hook this guy up to the battery with either the alligator clips or the 12-Volt lighter adaptor, and you'll be filling that punctured tire in no time. It has a 4" hose coming off of it, making it easier to get to that valve stem. It comes in a zippered pouch along with instructions, a sports needle, and an inflatable adapter (just in case you roll up on the beach and need to blow up water wings for the kids and a volleyball for the ladies in bikinis).
I should note that the Stop & Go Mini Air Compressor doesn't come with a patch kit -- but they do make one.
