We all knew it would happen: the fashions of the '70s are back. I'm not talking about pants that are way too tight or wall hair, but the simple, multilayered striping. Regardless of its status as a fashion zombie, the Xelement armored jacket gives a lot of bang for the buck.
A combination of waterproof Cordura and leather, this jacket comes with a full-sleeve removable liner. A micro-fleece collar rolls out when you need it, and tucks back in when you don't. All of that will keep you warm, and the zippered vents on the front and back will keep you cool.
For impact protection, gel foam padded panels can be found in the front, back, and sleeves. 3M Scotchlite reflective stripes will heighten your visibility. These features, along with the shoulder armor, back armor, and removable elbow armor, make you as safe as you can be without going overboard.
With all of this, you might wonder how they keep this retro gem so cheap. I'll let you know that Xelement's stitching can leave something to be desired, but you still get a decent jacket that will last you a few seasons-- longer if you take proper care of it.
